Eco-educational activities
Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Georgia’s LEPL Agency of Protected Areas actively participating in eco-educational activities in 2018 year. In the frame of the activities, lectures and meetings with population was holding actively.

Grant for the development of protected areas
At the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Grant agreement was signed by the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Mr. Levan Davitashvili and representative of UNDP Program, Mrs. Munkhtuya Antargerel.

Navenakhevi Cave was opened in Terjola Municipality
By the organization of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia’s LEPL Agency of Protected Areas and City Hall of Terjola Municipality, Navenakhevi Cave was opened.

Selective Competition of Expert Group (EAGL)
Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia’s LEPL Agency of Protected Areas is going to present protected areas in Green List of IUCN.

Meeting with the members of Czech Republic’s Environmental Committee
Czech Environmental Protection Committee members were visiting Georgia. The meetings were held at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia together with Parliament of Georgia's and Tbilisi City Hall's representatives.

Shepard's Day Tushetoba 2018
Sheprad’s Day Tushetoba was celebrated in Tusheti, Village Omalo. The participants were addressed by the Governor of Kakheti Mr.Irakli Kadagishvili, Mayor of Akhmeta Municipality Mr. Ioseb Karumashvili and Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas Mr. Valerian Mchedlidze.

Visitors Center was opened in Kazbegi National Park

Protected Areas, Biodiversity and Eco-tourism
On 25th of May, information meeting was held for higher education institution’s students, where a lecture was held on the topic – Protected Areas, Biodiversity and Eco-tourism.

Biodiversity Day
On Biodiversity Day, eco-educational week was held in the Agency of Protected Areas.

The number of visitors was increased by 48%
According to the statistics of 2018, the number of visitors at the protected areas were increased by 48%, comparing to the last year, and it included 31 892. Among visitors 59% are Georgians, and 41% are foreigners. In the case of international travelers, the top number of visitors are from Germany, United Arab Emirates, India, Azerbaijan and Russia.

Rangers’ insurance will be financed by Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF)
Grant Agreement has been signed between Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), that has been signed by the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Mr. Levan Davitashvili and Executive Director of Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) Mr.George Giacomini.

Nedzvi Managed Reserve’s Forest Management Plan
The present document - "Nedzvi Managed Reserve’s Forest Management and Development Plan" was implemented in 2017which aims forests management facilitation and economic activities planning.
