High and middle managers of the Agency of Protected Areas were trained in the direction of implementation of the financial management and control system (FMC).
The reform of the financial management and control system in Georgia is being carried out step by step in accordance with the Association Agreement signed between Georgia and the European Union, and is one of the most important components of public finance management for the country. The structure of the state internal financial control system of Georgia fully complies with the model developed by the European Commission for EU member and candidate countries.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Agency of Protected Areas is one of the first among the pilot ministries that should implement the mentioned program.
The goal of the program is to improve the quality of public finance management.
The training was conducted by representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Public Internal Control Department (Harmonization Center) of the Ministry of Finance. The training will help increase the competence of the employees of the Agency of Protected Areas in the mentioned direction and the effective implementation of the FMC system.
