Amendments to the law

Last week, after the third hearing the Parliament amended the law enforcement policies related to littering within the Protected Areas.

Chairman of the Agency visits Germany

 On September 22nd, 2013, Rati Japaridze, Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, went on a work-related visit to Berlin, Germany, where he held a meeting with the former representative of The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Georgia - Tobias Garstecki.

Informational bulletin

The agency of Protected Areas has started distributing informational bulletins, which contain information about all the important events that have occurred during the last two weeks at the central and territorial units of the Agency. Additionally, they will also contain information pertaining to future plans to be implemented by the Agency.

On September 20th, 2013, Rati Japaridze, Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, held a meeting with representatives of the Czech Development Agency (CzDA) - Ian Chernik and Sophia Kamushadze.

Public discussion of Truso commission researching results

 At 11:00 on September 26th, 2013, a meeting will be held at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia to evaluate the impact of boring a well (owned by the leaseholder Ltd Kasara) on the surrounding natural formations, such as the Truso Travertine, Abano Mineral Water Lake andKeterisi Karst Spring located in the territory of Kazbegi National Park in Truso Valley.
