Photo Exhibition of Protected Areas at the State University
On March 28, 2014, with the initiative of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Recourses Protection, photo exhibition representing Protected Areas of Georgia was opened at the Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. About 80 pictures representing biodiversity and natural heritage existing at different National Parks, State and Managed Reserves, are displayed at the exhibition hall of the University.
The exhibition was opened by Rati Japaridze, the Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Recourses Protection of Georgia. Representatives of the University administration, heads of Science and Geography departments, well as students and other interested parties also attended the opening ceremony.
The exhibition will last until April 6 and is aimed to promote Protected Areas of Georgia, together with raising environmental and natural heritage protection awareness among the general public.
