River Churia Valley (Pontoon Tour):
Tours on this route are available by 14 seats pontoon.
Registration for River Churia Valley tours should be done at the Churia Ranger station, which is located 50 km from Zugdidi.
The eco-tourist route "Churia River" starts from the yard of the Kolkheti National Park Churia ranger station.
During the tour, visitors have the opportunity to explore breathtaking views, marsh eco-systems with Nymphaeas (Water Lilys), and fragments of the relict Colchic forest of the Churia Valley – Colchic oak, Caucasian wingnut, Ash and Colchic lianas.
In the Churia valley, from the birdwatching towers it is possible to see water birds and some raptors (White-tailed eagle, Black kite, falcon, hawk, sparrowhawk) at any time of the year.
The total length of the route is 14 km (7 km one way).
In terms of difficulty, it is classified as an easy trail, as it is completed entirely by motorized boats.
The tour duration is 2 hr.
