Within the framework of the solemn events dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia, the Agency of Protected Areas offers various educational and entertainment activities to the visitors to Kutaisi Central Boulevard.

"On behalf of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, I congratulate all the citizens of our country on the Independence Day of Georgia. We struggled constantly for the independence of our country, in this fight we are united and therefore strong. Today the whole of Georgia is celebrating this day.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is the organizer of a number of important events in Kutaisi, Mtskheta, and Ozurgeti. We celebrate this festive day in the historical city of Kutaisi, the Agency of Protected Areas offers various educational and entertainment activities to the guests, once again we congratulate everyone who appreciates the independence and freedom of our country, and who makes their own contribution to retaining this achievement and creating a bright future for Georgia” - said Iuri Nozadze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
In addition to ancient history, Imereti is distinguished by its diverse nature, especially caves, and canyons, which are very popular among visitors. The Agency of Protected Areas presents different spaces, Prometheus Cave, Okatse, and Tetra Cave, in which visitors have the opportunity to take a virtual trip to the unique protected areas of Georgia; Information stand of protected areas and national parks of Georgia are presented as well.
Throughout the day, musical and theatrical performances, and children's entertainment activities will be held in the central boulevard.
At 17:10 PM, at the time when Georgia’s Act of Independence was proclaimed in 1918, the national anthem of Georgia will be performed. The festive events will end with a concert by Rusa Morchladze, Temur Tatarashvili, and "Ocho's Hut".
Events commemorating May 26, by the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture will take place in Mtskheta, Ozurgeti, and Kutaisi.
