The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Iuri Nozadze, and the Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, Davit Iosebashvili held a working meeting with the directors of the territorial administrations of the Agency of Protected Areas.
The participants of the meeting discussed the challenges of the current year in terms of the development of ecotourism, the protection and preservation of biodiversity, and the deepening of international relations.
It was noted that the protected areas are actively preparing for the tourist season; The works in the direction of arrangement/rehabilitation of eco-tourism infrastructure are ongoing.
At the working meeting, Deputy Minister introduced the new directors to the audience, specifically: Demur Latsabidze will head up the Tana Managed Reserve administration, Giorgi Betkhoshvili - the Racha Protected Areas administration, and Usisha Tsiklauri - the Pshav-Khevsureti Protected Areas administration.
It should be noted that the new leaders have many years of working experience in the Agency of Protected Areas.
