Protected Areas administrations’ employees will improve their English language skills with British Council Georgia.

As part of the Mutual Cooperation Agreement between the Agency of Protected Areas and the British Council Georgia, employees who are in constant communication with international visitors will improve their English language skills.

The Mutual Cooperation Agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Agency of Protected Areas, Davit Iosebashvili, and the Director British Council South Caucasus and Georgia, Zaza Furtseladze.
Improving English language skills has of great importance for the smooth and effective functioning of the territorial administrations governed by the Agency of Protected Areas and it is also the cornerstone for the international tourist flows in the protected areas of Georgia.

In the scope of the Mutual Cooperation Agreement, 65 employees of the Protected Areas Administrations will have the possibility to develop their English communication skills.

The mutual cooperation agreement is a document based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed on September 14, 2022, between the Agency of Protected Areas and BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) in the field of strengthening sustainable development of the system of protected areas, protecting biodiversity, increasing eco-tourism potential and improving socio-economic conditions of the population living in the vicinity of the protected areas.
