Construction of Visitor Centre in Javakheti

Dimitri Beridze, Agency of Protected Areas Deputy Chairman visited Javakheti Protected Areas to oversee the ongoing construction of the Visitor Centre building. The construction of Visitors Centre is financed by KfW and is being implemented by WWF Germany.

At the moment, the process of building walls with blocks, insulation of the roof and flooring is underway. Modern thermal insulation material is used for the construction, considering the harsh climatic conditions of the region – freezing temperatures and high precipitation in winter.

It must be noted that the design of the building was created as of best international practice and standards. The works are expected to be finished by the end of October.
