New service at Mtirala National Park
New service, the so-called Document Equivalent to Receipt or the DER has been launched at Mtirala National Park administration as of 2 August, 2013. This method of payment for services is rather flexible and comfortable for visitors, as well as the administration employees, considering that until August 2013, the cash register was only available at the administration. Admin. building is located at a distance of 14 kilometers from the visitor center and every time a visitor who wanted to pay for services had to wait for transportation of the cashier from Chakvi.
Visitors can pay for services instantly after having introduced the DER. Since the implementation of the new service up until today today, the revenue of the administration has amounted to 512 Georgian Lari, which is considerably more than the figure from the last year (390 GEL). It should also be noted that the current summer season has been extremely rainy, which has negatively affected the number of visitors.
It is planned to introduce similar mechanism at several other territorial administrations, where there are problems with regard to using the cash registers and it is a practical necessity to use the DER.
